One on One
Many individuals need more intensive counseling to get at the root of long-standing health issues. One-on-one counseling makes it possible to work deeper with individuals to weed out habits that can sabotage a beautiful life. Often long-standing health problems can be turned around just by making simple lifestyle changes. Weight issues, hormonal imbalance, and blood sugar dysregulation are very common complaints that can usually be resolved through nutritional counseling.
Getting to the underlying problem can make the difference between needing medications and moving on through life without them. One-on-one counseling allows me to get to know you much better and to really understand your health and nutritional needs.
Since I serve clients nationwide, I offer consultations in-person or by telephone or Skype to accommodate each client’s individual preference.
Public Speaking
I have a passion for teaching and speaking to the public. Work groups, church groups, or health conferences—whatever your group may be—I enjoy spreading information on topics of health and nutrition to motivate people to change. Change is good! It can be responsible for wonderful improvements in health and well-being.
I offer presentations on topics including understanding fats and the role they play in our body, blood sugar dysregulation, mineral deficiencies, hydration and the role of water in our health, menopausal symptoms, weight and how to get your appetite under control, and anything having to do with the healing of the human body through nutrition and lifestyle changes.

Sugar Out, Nutrition In – Sugar Detox for summer 2018: The science is clear and it’s telling us that sugar is the biggest thief of one’s health and youth. It is so addicting that giving it up can be harder than giving up heroine! This comprehensive 6 hour workshop is designed to teach you about how sugar degrades one’s health and what to do about it. Sugar consumption is linked to all common modern diseases, like weight gain, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and heart disease. Unfortunately sugar derails a person’s workout routine, making one’s efforts much less effective at creating a beautiful and well-proportioned, healthy body. Find out why this happens.
What we will be covering:
- Find out where hidden sources of sugar can be found in a ‘healthy diet’ and how to implement a new routine that supports permanent removal of sugar from your diet
- Why willpower doesn’t work, and how to work around it
- How to overcome cravings instead of cravings overcoming you
- How to regulate blood sugar to avoid blood sugar dips that drive cravings
- How to use amino acids to support a goal to “get off” sugar and build more muscle
- Get up to date on what a healthy diet looks like and what we really should be eating
- And much more!
There will be light healthy refreshments. Each participant will receive a booklet with notes and recipes to refer to, and there will be time for questions during the workshop and after. Sign up now to guarantee a seat, as seating is limited. And come prepared to take in a lot of information!

Get Healthy – Sugar Detox: This is a comprehensive 3-week group program to facilitate a permanent cure for “Sweet Tooth”. We will cover the three most important reasons why people can’t get off sugar, and I will explain why getting blood sugar stabilized makes such a big difference- improving mood, sleep, anxiety, energy levels, mental focus, and best of all, eliminating cravings!
Change is easier when you are all changing together! Kicking sugar is hard- New York Times bestselling author Dr. Mark Hyman says “Sugar is 4 times more addicting than cocaine”! This is probably the reason why the average annual consumption in America today is 200 pounds per person; up dramatically from the early 1900’s when it was around 4 pounds per person, a time when there was much less obesity, diabetes, and heart disease!
Eat well, live long and look great with a healthy nutritional lifestyle. Good eating – nutrition – is a science. Learn how we medicate with sugar, altering brain chemistry and how certain microbes that live in our digestive tract can drive sugar cravings. You can facilitate a cure for your “sweet tooth” in this informative class with Nutritional Therapist, Kalene McCrary, NTP, CGP. Each class allows plenty of time for Q & A.

Diets and environmental toxins put a huge burden on our body, causing premature aging. Learn the timeline when your cells regenerate and what you need to do to extract nutrients from your food by actively improving your digestion.
Also covered are recipes for making your own cosmetics and green cleaning products.

Anti-Aging:
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE INTERESTED IN SLOWING, AND EVEN REVERSING, THE AGING PROCESS, I am teaching my ‘3-Week Anti-Aging Class’ starting October 7th, 2016.
Class 1 – Digestion – It’s hard to see the beauty of good digestion especially since it’s not a sexy topic, but if your digestion isn’t working right then you are not getting the nutrients out of your food! What does good digestion look like and what are the many ways it can go wrong? With more people than ever dealing with digestive issues, we all need to relearn how to heal and seal our damaged guts. This class can be life changing. Class comes with handouts and light refreshments.
Class 2 – Anti-Aging – Who doesn’t want to slow the aging process? This workshop will teach you the right foods to eat to preserve your skin and keep you looking healthy long after everyone else has gone in for “help”. Remember if you’re aging on the outside, it’s a mirror for what’s taking place on the inside. And that is where this workshop shines. Keep your energy, your health and your looks! Class comes with handouts and light refreshments.
Class 3 – Environmental Toxins – No one can deny our world is polluted. But there are ways we can reduce and even eliminate unnecessary exposure to the dangerous toxins we come into contact with on a daily basis. Where are these toxins found? In our homes, food, water and especially in our daily cosmetics. Educate yourself to protect yourself. Class comes with handouts, recipes for alternative green cleaners and light refreshments.

Sugar Detox: This is a comprehensive 3-week group program to facilitate a permanent cure for “Sweet Tooth”. We will cover the three most important reasons why people can’t get off sugar:
Class 1- Blood Sugar Dysregulation (low blood sugar). We will look at how to stabilize your blood sugar to avoid spikes and I will explain why getting blood sugar stabilized makes such a big difference- improving mood, sleep, anxiety, energy levels, mental focus, and best of all, eliminating cravings!
Class 2- Brain Chemistry Imbalance. Neurotransmitter imbalance can sometimes lead to self-medicating with sugar to help get through the day. This is more common than you might think, and the solution is surprisingly simple!
Class 3- Candida and Gut Dysbiosis. Both of these microbes can cause intense sugar and carb cravings because both of these microbes feast on sugar. Getting your gut balanced is a big job. But with the information you’ll receive in class, you’ll be able to tackle this issue and start rebuilding a healthy gut.
Many people have at least two of these issues and some people deal with all three, making it very hard to kick the sugar habit on their own.
In this class you will have access to a private on-line forum to ask questions and to receive support from me and from others in your class. Change is easier when you are all changing together!
